The last few weeks I’ve had a really weird sleep schedule and haven’t been keeping to normal meal times. Frequently I’ll wake up around 6 am, go to the gym, then work, then class, then come home, sleep, go back to work, go to more class, eat, go back to sleep, wake up, go to class, etc. all in a random order. As a result (probably) I’m kind of sick. I also didn’t eat anything besides three cups of coffee since 7 this morning (and it’s now 5 pm here) so I got home and started throwing random shit in a pot. Here’s the result.
Started out as a box of 4-cheese rice-a-roni. Started cooking it, but realized, hey, fiber exists. So I tossed a can of spinach in. Then, oh wait, protein exists too! So in went a can of tuna. Wait! This is gonna be gross! So in went some cayenne pepper, red pepper, onion powder, and who knows what else. Results? It’s actually pretty good. You get a little tanginess from the tuna, creaminess from the cheese, and some savor from the spices. I’d eat this again. Good thing I like it, I have about six more meals of it.
As a warning for all the younguns on Oppo, this is what college cuisine looks like. Just... be prepared.

get well soon mate
i planned to make myself an omellette when i got home from work as all ive eaten so far is a crappy storebought tuna mayo sandwich..
but my daughter ate all the eggs..
ok fine... ill just have another sandwich then
missus left the butter on the heater... daughter had the last of the bacon with all the eggs
welp... looks like im having a steak at midnight today :)

This is what Junior/Senior year of college looks like, first two years you’ll possibly have a meal plan and won’t realize how good you’ve got it with the buffet of endless choices.

Yup, that’s the one. My school’s meal plans aren’t the unlimited buffet X times a week like most schools, though. There are two, both costing about $2400, one where you get 3 credits a day (one per meal) that over a semester works out to be about $2300 of overpriced food, but the other is just a $1800 ish credit you get at the start of the semester that you just use like a debit card. Both are scams and the food is meh. I only had meal plan Freshman year, so I’ve just been living like this the last two and a half years. Cooking is hard.
